Damn... too bad Miami isn't on that list of teams. :nugget

No one really gives respect. On day shift when I work I basically listen to MLB network radio non stop for 12 hours. They will occasionally give us a nice comment but it's normally followed by A smart ass remark.

Watching comcast and they think 4/60 is what Buehrle will get

I predict Vazquez signs with the Nationals on a one-year deal. He'll stay in the NL East because of his success there, but he won't sign with the Marlins because of Ozzie Guillen.

Interesting thought. The Nats never entered my mind. And it would be a good signing for them. But I'm sticking with the Braves.

It's maybe a little high, but not terribly unreasonable. If there are 13 teams interested in him, I think he'll find at least one that gives him that.

More precisely, I think that would be a lot given the Marlins supposed budget and need to sign multiple quality players.

If I'm an owner, I sure don't pay $15 million a season for Buehrle. Not a chance. However, I would trade Hanley Ramirez for a bargain like Gio Gonzales at the drop of a Marlins hat.

Buehrle is supposedly the Nationals' top priority for the offseason and they went to visit him at his home in St. Louis.

That not a bit stalkerish?

They aren't in Venezuela.

Too soon?

Well I guess we can cross him off the wish list.

The biggest obstacle to Mark Buehrle joining the Marlins is the team’s reluctance to give him a no-trade clause, according to major-league sources.

The Marlins, Rangers and Angels are the teams most prominently in the mix for Wilson, according to one source. The Nationals also are pursuing both Wilson and Buerhle. The Marlins are targeting a left-handed starter on a free-agent market, and the holdup in their talks with Buehrle could intensify the club’s pursuit of C.J. Wilson, sources say.

No Marlin has a no-trade clause, including shortstopHanley Ramirez, who is signed through 2014. It is not known whether the Marlins gave free-agent closer Heath Bell a no-trade clause in his new, three-year, $27 million contract, which is pending a physical.

Clubs routinely award no-trade protection to high-profile free agents such as the ones the Marlins are pursuing. The Marlins have made offers to Buerhle, shortstop Jose Reyes and first baseman Albert Pujols. They also have met with Wilson, though it is not known whether they made him an offer.

Buerhle, 32, has spent his entire career with the White Sox — the past seven seasons under Ozzie Guillen, the new Marlins’ manager. He prefers the Midwest, but would welcome a move to the National League, sources say.

Samson said earlier this off season no-trade policy would not change @matt_nathanson @Avilez_Kevin
