My thing is: how does Jeter gets a pass for wanting to stay at SS knowing that AROD was wayyyyyy better defensively at that time, but not Hanley?

Lemme guess...intangibles?

Cause he's Derek f***ing Jeter.

I think Donnie bleepin' Murphy has something to say about that.

Is Donnie bleepin' Murphy our starting SS?

MLBN is calling Hanley "disgruntled" right now.

I'm guessing they haven't even spoken to him or any of his reps yet too. I really hate the media.

Now they're showing the booted ball incident.

See, this is why I turned off MLBN three hours ago. Why can't they just let us be happy?!

Because now we are "new money". Gatsby lusting after Daisy if you will.

That's right. I just pulled in a Great Gatsby reference. I'll take your likes over here --->

Just tell Hanley behind closed doors that the reason he has to move is because they don't trust Reyes with the task. You know, make him feel like he's got some kind of talent to play third that Reyes doesn't have. He'd buy it.

I know your trying to be funny and but you bring up a good point. If i were the FO, I would make it out that it would be a bigger accomplish to the Ramirez name to learn a new position and try to be the best at it. Reverse the "Pride" from losing a position to making the new position yours.

This has become so confusing. When the FO was going after Reyes it was coming across as Hanley was all for it and they were good buddies, etc. Hanley would do anything to help the team win, etc. Now once he's signed he's supposeably bitching? This makes no sense. So what the hell is it? One, If he told management he was ok with it and now he isn't we've got problems. Trade his ass. Two, there isn't a problem and the media is fabricating it. WTF? Really? For what purpose? I see this as trying to just make sh*t up. Call the liars out. Three, if Hanley was so great at SS then why in the hell would they even pick up Reyes? Maybe they are tired of Hanley and have another plan? Maybe the writing is on the wall? He obviously couldn't take being the leader of the team. He has admitted that. Is this just a move to begin the improvement of increasing his trading value at season's end? Or a safety blanket if he gets hurt?

Yeah, I'm not reading that.

Guys, neither Reyes nor Hanley will be playing short.

LoMoMarlins Logan Morrison

Just to clear up any confusion, I will be playing SS for the Marlins next season...

Well, according to Allison Williams, a move to third base may be in Lomo's future (you should have seen Niner's face when she mentioned this).

Your 2012 starting infield:

1B Pujols

2B Reyes

SS Hanley

3B Infante

:lol.. geez hanley.. suck it up and switch positions man

As it is right now without Pujols we have a recent All-Star at every position in the infield, including Buck.

He's just trying to get hits.
