Feel weird about Conine...1993 seen him walking around Broward mall. I was 13 my brother 11 we asked him for an autograph he got real mad and says in mean voice " can u say please" . He is mr marlin but not good on tv.... As for Floyd herd him a bunch if times on radio and has a live and good personality. Don't know about Preston but I think I remember him having fun as a Marlin.

My wife will miss Conine, as she always says he's so handsome. For me, meh, he was boring with a very dry sense of humor that I think got lost on TV. Cliff and Preston will be interesting, and I hope they have done some audience testing for them 1st, and not just throw them on TV and hope it works.

I'm sure she will be. She's almost part of the trio with Minervini and Forte now.

Allison Williams has been working for ESPN recently. I can't say that she doesn't have a contract with multiple networks, but it wouldn't surprise me if she's gone.

Allison stills works the panthers games for fsn so I would assume shed be back. As for Conine I'm surprised theres a consensus on the board about his lack of tv skills.

I am not positive, but it is what I have heard. The Rays today officially announced that their road pregame shows will come from a studio in Ft. Lauderdale. I also know officially that Conine is still a part of the broadcast team.

Won't watch until Reggie Abercrombie joins the crew.

Say what you will about PDub, he was a class act. It's like he grew up knowing what it takes to be a star (always dressed nicely, even when teammates were in t-shirts & sweats) and giving of his time to fans.

 

As a CF, I always thought he made the easy plays look hard - his speed allowed him to compensate for lack of ball judgement and positioning. He would've been better as a corner OF (if the Marlins had anyone else to patrol center in 1998-2001).

 

I did meet him and Cliffy at a preseason event (before the general public was let in). You could tell they were buds and would work together again someday. I think their show will be fun.

The Marlins website has now added both Conine and Allison Williams to their list of 2012 broadcasters.
