Stanton, Yelich, and Olt won't be a bad 3 to build around

 

 

If team doesn't throw in Cousins and Petersen, will either one be back as 4th OF? Cause both kinda suck hitting wise, but are pretty good OF's with CANNON's. Pfft, not even Staton has a better CANNON than Petersen...

I fear that the Marlins will get little in return for JJ.

Brett Carroll from recent memory probably had a stronger arm than all 3. His cannon was cartoonish.

I really wish people would stop talking about Profar. We're not getting him as he's untouchable. JJ is most likely staying here. At most we are getting one of Olt/Perez/Martin.

And throwing in Petey or Cousins or Buck isnt going to add value to the trade, if anything it takes away.

You gotta try. Teams only have a small window for winning a WS. Right now Texas is in theirs. Maybe Tex caves and says we're going all in and gives us what we want for JJ.

I'm not worried about it. It would be different if we HAD to trade JJ. But really we don't.

Anyone else feel dirty Nolasco is all-time K leader and not JJ? Feels wrong...

Yea I really do. I have a lot of hope in the kid and hopefully he'll be the next leader of the rotation like Beckett and JJ in their time.

I really hope we get Perez because it would be really fun to see the 3 young guys come up. If they all hit their potential (I know it's not that easy) we would have an unreal rotation especially when fernandez gets here. Im very high on eovaldi. A lot of dodgers fans though he would be the #2 behind kershaw (posted a lower rookie era than kershaw).I think we would be pretty similar to the nats.

Generally pitchers are at their best when they are still under 30, and they are fun to watch.
