His English is still a work in progress. I read that as "I don't want to talk about it" but it might mean "I have nothing against Miami"

I can't help but feel that speaking such terrible English is yet another example of how much of a piece of sh*t he is. The guy has been in the US for a long time and constantly in the media and talks to reporters on a daily basis and teammates who only speak english and this is what the guy says in an answer? He just doesn't care, at all. Only cares about himself. Even in commercials the guy can barely spit out 3 words without sounding like a stroke survivor. I constantly see soccer players moving around, speaking multiple languages and look at foreigners speaking english in the NBA, they do so-so. Hanley speaks worse than a 3 year old.

I get more a kick out of the following that Hanley is now surrounded by a "winning attitude". The veterans we had tried to make him understand his ability and his effort. He would not listen. More importantly, he is happy Kemp is a leader and takes on the role of playing to expectations, rather than Hanley. Comes with the territory Hanley, but I guess he wants $15 million a year without expectations. Sounds like loser Hanley to me. Kemp can step up but Hanley is happy he does not have to.

"It's a new page now," Ramirez said. "I don't got nothing about Miami, guys." Meaning hes got nothing to say to the reporters at his locker about the Marlins. He hasnt really answered questions about the Marlins since being traded.

 

"They are always going to be a part of my family," he said. "That's where I spent the last seven years. Hopefully I've got more than that in the big leagues. For now, I turn the page and move forward with this team."

I listen to the Giants radio station on the way home from work, whenever someone brings up the Dodgers and Hanley's performance so far its always followed by, "Well, he's still Hanley Ramirez."

eovaldi seems like a solid future #3 or at best a #2 to me. i LOVE that he is willing to pitch inside on guys and he throws hard so the can't hang over the plate without some trepidation. His cutter is absolutely disgusting when he actually throws it. He's a young kid but I really do dig the guy so far despite that awful start. I think as with most young kids he needs to work on his control a bit more but he does seem to have a legit chance at being a regular in a quality starting rotation.

Hanley does the "I see you" and directs it right at A.J. Burnett after hitting a HR.

Wow. Hanley's version of the lo viste was stupid to begin with, but flashing it while running the bases is uber douchey.

From what I saw in the LA-Marlins series, Hanley seemed to have shortened his swing a bunch from that long, flashy home run swing. Supposedly (according to Rich and Tommy), Eduardo Perez had been trying to get Hanley to work on that all season.
