So how long until they sign Clint Frazier now that he was released today and is a free agent?

We all know it is coming.

Agreed lol.

Within the week?  Before Thanksgiving?

I honestly wouldn't be against the idea. He's worth taking a flyer on.  There's 0 risk and he just might produce outside of NY.

Yeah I don't mind it either, I just expect it

from mlbtr:

Frazier has been placed on release waivers, but he has not yet cleared, tweets MLBTR’s Steve Adams. The waiver period expires tomorrow, so it remains possible another team grabs Frazier off the wire. If he passes through unclaimed, he’ll hit free agency.

Yeah, I was going to say we could've apparently claimed him, but that'd require paying whatever he's owed, and we have to save the extra $5 to not pay a FA.

So what would the Marlins be waiting for?

To save a few thousand outside of arbitration?

Wait. I just answered my own question .

Basically, yeah.

Frazier has had a bunch of medical issues the last few years and while they can certainly give him a shot, apparently the issues he's had with headaches could not be solved by the team doctors so I wouldn't expect much out of him

This team think they don't need Marte or just don't want to spend ? they rather to trade all the top prospects for injury prone Buxton ?

You mean this off-season or Marte ? if Marte then it's impossible to have him back from multiple reports that we keep lowballing him …

Baseball world still think Marlins can't afforded to the FAs they want, if I'm Bruce Sherman I would spend all my money to let everyone shut up… but Sherman not me.

Dude, relax.

I was looking at trade values. Does this seem like a realistic trade? Do you think both teams would accept, and what would be your opinion if something like this happened?

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have agreed to move this year’s deadline for teams to tender contracts to arbitration-eligible players up from December 2 to November 30 at 8:00 pm EST, according to reports from Robert Murray of FanSided and Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic (Twitter links).

No way I make that deal.  Watson should be untouchable. I also believe Sanchez can still be special.

As for our return, Garver is older and Buxton is injury prone.  Not interested at that cost.

I agree with this.

Is Watson even eligible to be traded? I forget how that works these days.
