Yeah I think for now, we should view the 2022 rotation as

Sandy

Rogers

Pablo

Cabrera

Luzardo

Sixto** would be a cherry on top if he chooses to attack his rehab. If not, so be it

I'm thinking of this like some big action movie where a surprise hero returns at the end to save the day. That's Sixto hopefully lol.

Six-toe would make one heck of an action hero

Reading between the lines it sounds like Marlins feel Sixto is a lost cause.

Either because of injury or not as fully committed to his rehab, makes it sound like Marlins have zero expectations for him to even be considered for anything more than the IL.

Sad given his raw talent, but if you dont have the motor to harness that talent.

Just completely unfortunate, and on this one, not a ton the Marlins can do or could have done.

You cant control injury and you control even less a player not being fully committed to things.

He got burned overhyping the trade deadline. Learned his lesson I guess. Can't fault him for deals falling through but obviously it hurts his credibility even if it's not really his fault.

I believe that's the reason, but if Mish not tweets the rumors then he's not Mish, I think it's just bad luck in the trade deadline. I believe many journalists (Heyman, Morosi) were much more criticized then Mish but still keep doing it.

What's the meaning to make a low-balling offer !? insulting the players or insulting themselves  !?

Not so much a move on from Sixto, but have literally ZERO expectations at this point of him being a positive contributor to the Marlins in 2022.

This is how I feel.  It's how I felt the whole time in '21 too - everyone was like "wait for Sixto!" and I knew he wasn't arriving for '21.

Here's a question......

Let's say they do/are targeting Buxton.  And let's say the deal involves multiple pieces, and the Twins say Players A, B, C, and Meyer or Sixto, your choice.  Would y'all be fine letting Sixto go?  With his injury history, I say yes.

I like it but would slot in Hernandez over Luzardo. Then the next in line would be Luzardo, Braxton Garrett, Nick Neidert, Zach Thompson, and Max Meyer when he's ready.

100% yes

Not sure I'd say yes for Buxton specifically but generally speaking yes I'd be fine with Sixto as trade bait. The only concern would be maybe it's actually selling too low on him?

I'm putting Thompson above Garrett and Neidert, honestly. He's shown a lot better than the other two.

It was just an example.
