The Marlins have acquire right-hander Roddery Muñoz from the Pirates for cash considerations, with Christina De Nicola of MLB.com among those to relay the news. Muñoz was designated for assignment last week as the Bucs opened a roster spot for their acquisitions of Rowdy Tellez and Edward Olivares. The Marlins, meanwhile, are designating right-hander Ryan Jensen for assignment to open a spot for Muñoz. Alex Stumpf of DK Pittsburgh Sports first relayed that Muñoz would be heading to Miami.

All these acquisitions of waiver claims and guys who were DFAd feels like the Marlins are following the plan of Moneyball, no not the generally successful strategies of the book, I'm talking about the scene(s) in the Brad Pitt movie where they specifically target other team's rejects.

True but I guess many of us felt this offsesaon would be a bit different considering they just made the playoffs.

You guys are being too impatient. Remember, in 2010 they waited until March 30 to trade for Nate Robertson to make that epic World Series push. Plenty of time left!

Start worrying end of January but even then a lot can change. Genuinely worry the day pitchers and catchers report because by then the majority of your team should already be in place. Moves during spring training generally are fringe additions and not major reshaping moves.

Overall it's ok that they haven't made any big moves yet because it can still be done later but there is the facts of time running out, players coming off the board, etc. 

Maybe better said, it's not the lack of moves that's the problem, it's the fear that the lack of moves means that no big moves are coming. Because if we could somehow say "Marlins haven't made any big moves yet but it's guaranteed that a big move is coming on January 8th" then you'd be ok because you know it's coming. So it's moreso about fans being nervous that nothing will get done at all.
