“When trading away our shortstop at the time we wanted to get one back, Hill said. “Hechavarria has been everything as advertised.

It's comments like these from the FO that are really quite worrisome. Do they even look his stats up?

Was he advertised as the worst player in the majors? Well, he is a shortstop, I guess.

True. I'll give him that. He is a shortstop, as advertised.

And they can't even use intangibles like grit and heart with him cause he's Spanish. Those are reserved for crappy short white guys. Still trying to figure out what they see in him.

Hey, on a different note, could we purchase the team? Like issue bonds against the value of this and any other forum, or valuables we have give high interest on them, or make them convertible and end up with Miami Marlins stock? Could we force loria out, maybe even selling some of these bonds to the city? Just a thought.

Jeb Bush put up a lot more cash than we could even imagine, but Loria refused to sell. And why would he sell? He gets enough MLB welfare to turn a large profit even with a paltry gate and sparse crowds. And hardcore fans, including some on these boards, continue to line his pockets by buying tickets, further justifying his logical (for the short term) decision to field the cheapest team that Selig and the MLBPA will allow him to field.

If enough people stop going to the games, Loria might realize that he can't continue with his parsimonious ways.

It's crazy to me that Loria would fire Samson...clearly their relationship has gone downhill for some reason. Not sure why though.

But seriously Loria needs to either fire Beinfest or let him go get another job, as it's pretty obvious he's done here.

Or Loria needs to sell so Beinfest can stay put.

not much simpler than that
