Marlins Acquire Dee Gordon for Andrew Heaney

Featured Replies

Some people are going to be upset about Barnes....

if i hear even one person act as if he is something special I'm gonna be annoyed.

There has to be more to it than this. We have to be getting more back than just Gordon and Haren. Gordon is ok and Haren is garbage.

In future news: Dan Haren announces retirement.

Marlins found a new way to cut payroll, those bastards.

I'm certain the Angels are involved in this somehow.

I wonder if Haren to us is to pay off what he's owed if he just retires and we get something decent back.

Wishful thinking, I know.

Listen Heaney had a tough time in the minors. What I really like about Dee is those 64 sb he is going to make things happen and hitting a ball in those gaps is a triple all day for him. I don't know why everyone is so fast to kill a trade. Let it play out

Funny marlins were searching for "top of the rotation" guy this offseason. Haren is nothing close and is 10 mill a year.

Looks like the team is going into a "win now" mode. I think we were projected to 80 wins for 2015 before this deal was made, and its likely Heaney, Kike and Barnes didn't factor much into that number.

That being said, I don't get the Haren part. Dude is retiring. Something else is up there.
