November 2, 201510 yr Considering the season just had, I suppose one can't be taken back by the rampant cynicism that has taken hold of this board. Just hope that at some point during the offseason the Marlins do something constructive that starts to begin changing the tone around here. The Mattingly hire was fine with me but what the front office does with the starting pitching will tell the tale.

November 2, 201510 yr Watched the entire fifteen minute clip on mlb .com and really what's not to like about the guy? Said all the right things and looked confident that he could make this team win. Also, and of course some will say his words don't matter but I found it interesting how much there was a focus on establishing stability and consistency here. The 10 years quote, the keeping of some of the coaching staff, the stuff about Loria finally being comfortable with the manager, the idea of patience with the process. Who knows, maybe this really is Loria's final managerial hire.
