26th Roster Spot

Eddy Alvarez: DNP
Tommy Eveld DNP (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 0 ER)

*I would say that Anthony Bass, Yimi García, Dylan Floro, Richard Bleier, John Curtiss, and Ross Detwiler are givens in the pen.

If there are any other players that you think I missed, just shoot me some names. I don't think that any of our top 30 prospects not listed have a shot unless there is an injury.

Regarding bullpen roles, Anthony Bender might make the team.

I say this as your friend -- not trying to attack you or anything. But there are times you complain about Donnie's decisions that are just knee jerk reactions, such as complaining about not bringing in (let's say) Yimi in a clutch spot when he's already pitched 2 days in a row. I only bring this up because I got family that roots for a variety of teams, including some with Manager of the Year credentials, and all they do is complain about their managers.

So either all the great managers out there are actually very obviously terrible, OR we're a bunch of folks sitting in the distance, criticizing managers with only a shred of the information and experience those managers have.

One of the things I have enjoyed during this Marlins rebuild is to scroll through twitter from the opposing team's fans when ever the Marlins were kicking their teams' butts. Part of the fun was how upset they got because their teams couldn't beat the 'lowly' Marlins. But something I did notice was that no matter the team, every fanbase seemed to be pissed at their own managers. And it was clear that a lot of that was pent up frustration and not just the reaction to a single game -or 10 in the case of the 2019 Phillies 🙂.

If Berti is the starting 2B to open the year, I wouldn’t mind that.

He probably should with the fucking embarrassment thats been both Jazz and Diaz at 2b.

Jazz doing as good a job as possible to piss away a starting gig on Opening Day.  Isan Diaz doing well what Isan Diaz does himself.
