Sure they can. But it would include Pablo, Rogers, or Edward

Alright I'm not directing this at you specifically, you just happen to be the most recent to do this, so I apologise.

People.

STOP INCLUDING PABLO IN POTENTIAL BRYAN REYNOLDS TRADES.

HE MAKES ZERO SENSE FOR THE PIRATES RIGHT NOW.

Cabrera or Rogers would make a lot more sense, but Rogers for Reynolds would be a lot closer to a 1-for-1 (it wouldn't be, mind you, but pretty close).

Loria wouldn't have been able to make this trade because Loria would have had the 29th ranked farm system.

The Marlins built up some pretty good farm systems under Loria.

Either he makes this trade or doesn't need to because he's already cashed in his chips.

After firesales, yes. And at that point we'd BETTER have good farm systems.

Drafted a few really good players and international signings, I'll give ya that.

Loria would've made this trade......

i still 100% believe Loria would have signed Marte for what he was originally asking for (since it wasn't very much) and thus not needed to make this trade. It still disgusts me that I am saying ANYTHING "pro" Loria but man..i am almost positive he would have seen that as a no-brainer move.
