That Sandy tweet could be the last straw thing that bursts this shit. Sandy is the biggest success story of this front office in so many ways. The moment he shows public frustration and either demands a trade or is actually traded that's it there is literally nothing left to even pretend to hang on to.

I actually considered that too. He could very easily say that's all it is.

Also, even if Sandy does demand a trade it won't change anything as Bruce will just pocket more money and "start" another fake half-assed rebuild

I hope he demands a trade. Mark my words, if that happens and he's traded I will abandon this team and find a new one

how many die-hard fans are there at the stadium on a given night though?  With the low crowds I feel it's more of a casual "eh let's go to a game tonight" type of crowd. 

I kinda equate it with the whole "let's hope _____ doesn't happen because it'll be a PR nightmare" type of scenario - nobody really goes to games as it is so I don't think it will make much of a dent overall outside of maybe this site drying up. 

 

It's mind boggling to see them literally make ZERO MLB FA signings...NONE....this after her mouth service about needing and looking to sign 2-3 more bats.  I guess she meant 2-3 more bats for our minor league affiliates?  I mean I have certainly been panning their efforts but even I thought we'd see SOME MLB-level talent brought in by now.

Nothing will fix this outside of MLB implementing a steep salary floor of 125mil or so to push out the "poorer" owners and bring in guys who want to actually play with their fancy rich person toy.

I'm not basing it on attendance. There are plenty of die hard fans who follow the Marlins but dont go to games. I haven't gone to a game since early in 2021. Die hard fans, who either go or don't go, like season ticket holders, and like the fans on here, will just be done following the team because it's gotten to a point of legitimate hopelessness. 

With baseball the cliche for serious fans when there team sucks is "there's always next year" but with Marlins fans it's now obvious that not even "next year" will be worth a shit.

I'm more and more believe this shitty front office just didn't try to improve this roster, even have no any rumors about this team, anytime you search “Miami Marlins ” in the Twitter then 99% of the outcomes were the tweets from “Peter Pratt”.
