With a below avg season like he is having, we can sign him to an extension that would be less than if he had a dominating/great year. H2R needs a change of scenery and we could get a decent group of young talent for him. Turner will be the real deal and we have a couple catchers in the minors that could be MLB caliber in 2 years. Hotcorner Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 eek. I really wanted to hang on to JJ... but now with the hole at 3b I wonder if they almost have to. Most of the young pitching prospects in the system (Fernandez, etc) wouldn't be ready 'til 2014 so the rotation will probably be a mess next season.
