Winning should be the highest priority but I’m not in charge.  We can say what is the common & correct ways to enforce that but this organization needs to prove it first.    It was just recently told that Cueto would only see bullpen action and now that has changed if I’m correctly understanding.  Who really knows what they intend on doing, only them.  Stallings, Hampson, Avi & maybe Cueto should be under fire.   Look, when you see a shirt with all those names on it, it doesn’t give me much confidence.   Judging a shirt sounds ridiculous but it’s the Marlins. I hope they prove me wrong.

I mean your right, but they report based on the mindset of their employer?   I think it funnels at the top to the bottom.

I like the idea of Cueto as a long reliever actually.

They usually pitch in irrelevant situations, in particular when the team is losing big already. 

He’s bad enough to have us lose a game by 20, which would make our run differential look awful again. Makes people doubt the team and makes it more fun. 

What are people expecting from him? It sounds like an 8+ ERA. From his recent years’ stats, I would expect more like a 5 ERA. Not at all good, but potentially useful down the stretch.

Not only that, but then you’re going to share with him that you need that roster spot so you can go acquire a backend of the rotation innings eater due to some of the injuries/innings limits.

I could see them only getting 1 game in both Baltimore and St Louis unfortunately which would make that a tough climb because the Rays absolutely beat our asses almost every time too. St Louis is weird in that they're really shitty this year but usually spank us pretty hard regardless and since it's in that shit hole of a city as an away game I'm concerned about that series. Hopefully, the Marlins will continue to surprise me but yeah I could see them only taking two of six in that road trip to start the second half.

They aren't employed by the team. Yes those reporters report based on what they get from the team but I'm just saying that De Nicola's style of coming up with titles and how she writes is more a reflection of her style than of the organization's mindset.

I don't think the team has officially said anything about how he'll be used.  Just what Mish has said, and he doesn't have the best track record.

Just keep taking 2 of 3 from everyone, and that's good enough for me.  Sure a sweep here and there is great, but I'd rather have consistent 2-3 than 3-0 followed by 0-3, losing 2-3, etc

To be fair, us expecting the worst in every series has worked out well for the Marlins so far (except against the Braves...), so I'll agree just for the sake of it.
