He won't be on the roster in 2025, I'd rather give that playing time to literally anyone in the minors who may be and see what they have

Reaonable approach.  If one of our two lottery tickets turn out we contend. If both do we really have a shot.

I'm talking about Agustin and ddls

Do you think anybody's going to want our janitor? Like what's the return for that?

Avi Garcia but we'd have to take on the Janitors salary too

Agree with trades obviously, but replacing guys like puk and Scott is not as easy as it looks

I was never a fan of Puk. I'm kinda glad he's gone haha

Yes it is. The Rays proved that. Just find some dude in the Alaskan Penal League who throws the ball submarine behind his back with a release point just to the left of his cock and a fastball that reaches 104. Pay him the minimum for three years and trade him for four prospects, two of which pan out and Cock Ballsacker fades out in year four after starting the year with an ERA of 8 and a knee injury.

The Nick "Cock Ballsacker " Anderson story.  Up next on Lifetime.

2019 Anderson was a sight to behold.

I forgot the deadline was today - I was thinking it's tomorrow.  Guess I'll have to pull up the rumor things....or wait, don't you have to sign in to X just to see things now?

What are we getting for Tanner? Can we move anyone else?

DLC, probably a couple of other relievers.

Also an outside shot Jesus Sanchez gets moved, in my opinion.

Sanchez is a Bendix guy and a Bendix type player so seems unlikely.

i don’t see how DLC has any value besides a weak side platoon DH but who knows!  He is cheap and cost controlled

DLC at least has some pop, so I could see a team really desperate for a bat making a play for him. Definitely doesn't have much value, but the trade market is really thin.

Anyone making over the minimum is a tradeable candidate.  DLC goes to Arby 1 next year, so keep him, at the moment.  Production is secondary to the Marlins.  Are we building an offense around prospects and minimum salary players only?  And next year with our pitching staff coming back, if kept, is pretty damned good, barring injury, of course.  What's the plan?  When these young bats, if they meet the hopeful expectations, can produce, the staff will be too expensive and bye bye Sandy, Lizard, Weathers, even Trevor.  We are very unbalanced in this scenario.

I like DLC, but you only keep him if you plan on actually making some legitimate additions in the offseason, which we know the FO is not going to do.

I'm really not sure what the plan is here, to be honest.

GOOD

Agreed, this season isn’t going anywhere anyway, get what you can for who you can and see if we have any diamonds in the rough for the rest of the season.  Worst case scenario our chances for the number 1 pick in the draft goes up.
