At first he will be, but the boos will come. They boo everyone after all. I am just curious how he handles it.

He’ll be fine. All that shit about is completely overblown. He’s a fun and passionate player

Bendix did ok in the Puk trade then got used and abused in this deal.

Kinda negates the first deal.

Also scary to think about what he will take back for Scott...

I think they should have held onto him. He was really hitting this stride last few weeks. If he keeps it up and stays healthy would been much better return next year

You're wrong, but go on continuing to think as such.

Still not sure why you hang around here.

Is this the only attention you get? I'm sorry.

Joke of a franchise. Done with this team forever. It's been real gents

Over Jazz. Really? That dude was the most overrated Marlin ever, more than hanley.

It's also clear Bendix reads this board and finds me to be a knowledgeable person, one to listen to.

He's finally playing a healthy year and showing he can be capable of reasonable production.

I would say his worth is higher now.

Trade him.

Jazz shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Hanley Ramirez. Hanley was legitimately a star.

"Used and abused."

He landed a pretty damn good bat in Agustin Ramirez for a guy with a lifetime .749 OPS who doesn't even have a position.

I'm no Bendix fan, but you're exaggerating as usual.

Jazz is an above avg 2b he absolutely has a position come on now lol. The marlins moved him because arraez was so bad and because could at least respectabily play cf

He hasn't played there on a full-time basis since 2022. Second base is his best position but he is certainly not great there.

All metrics grades him above average and he wasn’t booted because of his defense there it was because of arraez!

Wait, people are crapping on this trade? Did we not get back the top two leaders in home runs in MiLB? One of them was the yankees 3rd best? I forget the graphic I saw but it said something like we now own 3 of the top 6 best prospects dealt this sumner. Papa wieners did alright, methinks.

I agree, on paper the return seems good to me.

It's the same as always though. If Marlins trade prospects, they are future hall of famers and should never be traded. If they acquire prospects, they are always going to be trash.

Still mad about Arraez trade but as @Admin said (i think it was you anyway without going back to look) that when I woke up today i'm still not upset that Jazz was traded or what we got back for him.

As I said earlier, he is not a franchise player, not even close to it really, he's the type of guy you get to lengthen your lineup when you already have one or two great guys in the lineup - which is exactly why he's a great fit for NY since they have Judge and Soto already (THOSE are franchise players you build around.  Not Jazz lol)

Bell on waivers. The joke of a franchise keeps on being pathetic

What's the point in keeping him. Contract ends at the end of the season and we are 98 games out of the playoffs.

I'm sure they tried to trade him and get something.

Someone actually needs to play for this team. Nobody's going to claim Bell at his current salary so I don't know why they don't just keep him for now. He actually has the 3rd highest OPS+ among hitters still with the team. Arraez and Jazz were both higher but they are now gone.

He won't be on the roster in 2025, I'd rather give that playing time to literally anyone in the minors who may be and see what they have

what is the point of keeping Bell on this team in place of a kid in the minors?  Bell won't be here next season anyway and the Marlins clearly aren't going to win this year - so why punish him by keeping him on the team?  Let a contender pick him up off waivers and go seek a ring.  As someone said, I'm sure they tried trading him but doesn't seem like anyone wanted him.  He has ZERO purpose on this current team. Give that playing time to a kid (hopefully that's who it goes to) in a lost season to see if he may have some value in the future.
