  1. Ozuna was the Marlins most clutch hitter with an absolute rocket in RF. He should galvanize our offense alone. Yelich has yet to fill out, so he's still a gap to gap hitter. When he builds mass alot of those doubles will turn to HRs. Jose is an absolute freak. Hope Stanton stays healthy all season.
  2. Fernandez and Stanton gives me 2 reasons to watch the Marlins.

  4. His swing is mechanically flawed, but it works for him. He has a solid hit tool, and has decent plate discipline, but his swing won't generate enough power at 3B for sure, unless he refines his mechanics a bit. He is overrated as a prospect IMO.
  5. Pay Stanton. Please, just pay the guy. He's the best player on this franchise and he has perennial MVP potential. Please Loria, open that wallet
  6. I don't really like Morans swing. He doesn't seem to have loft. Looks like a future .280 hitter with average OBP, but below average power at 3B. His defense doesn't look too pretty neither.
  7. Giancarlo or Jose Fernandez are the obvious choices. I like Giancarlo slightly over Fernandez because of the power potential.
  8. Turner has a good hit tool. His power tool however is nothing to write home about but he has potential to hit 10-15 HRs. He has loft in his swing, and that with his bat speed can generate decent power. I'm not completely sold that he doesn't have some power. Also he plays a premium position and is a solid glove with great range at SS. Would make a great catalyst as a leadoff hitter while manning a premium position even if he doesn't ever develop that power. I'll take that over a bunch of HS pitchers. Also, Hoffman to me is all potential because although he looked good in Cape Cod, his college stats don't look too encouraging. He needs to have at least a semi dominant season before I can consider him at #2. Rodon would be #1 in the pecking order for me, before Turner.
  9. Its Rodon 1st, then Trea Turner 2nd. Those are the 2 I like the most. No HS pitching or hitting, unless the talent is super top of the line, and theres no one like that bin this draft.
  10. He won't come close to winning Cy Young but it's cool that he is a finalist and well deserved considering he had amazing numbers. He'll probably get 40-60% votes which would be great to begin his collection of Cy Young shares.
  11. At least Mathis calls good games. Brantly don't know what the **** he's doing out there.
  12. No Keys or Wittgren in the top 10, below Realmuto? Interesting, can't say I agree. Some of us already explained to you awhile ago that Keys isn't anything special. He's a 22 year old who hasn't proven that he can hit above high A ball yet and has absolutely zero power. I bet you are also shocked and disappointed that Zack Cox isn't on the list.Keys is a good leadoff hitter with good defense at OF. He doesn't have power but has good OBP ability. I'm also kinda shocked he isn't in the TOP 10.
  13. Fernandez deserves to win the award and I think he will win a Cy Young Award or two down the road. But, if Puig played the whole year, it would have been a coin flip as they are both amazing ballplayers. Puig wasn't that great after June. I doubt he would've sustained his stellar .900+ OPS throughout the course of one whole season for him.
  14. One of many individual awards in the future for the kid. Hope he gets runner up in the Cy
  15. MT @Buster_ESPN: Bidding on Jose Abreu is expected to be $70m sources say. White Sox,Astros, Rangers viewed as frontrunners
  16. CoMo went 1-3 with 2 RBIs and a walk. 1-4

  18. Stanton is plotting his way of leaving the organization
  19. Uh oh, With this thread, Fernandez moves past Stanton as the most liked player on the Marlins for many people here.
  20. Trading a once a generation type talent like Stanton for a bag of peanuts as Hamilton the centerpiece would be absolutely devastating.
  21. Trea Turner is the type of player that will register a high WAR because of his superior speed and range at SS. He will be able to stick at SS according to most scouts with solid defense. An all around talent if everything works well, at the very least he's a 5 WAR player at his peak.
  22. I like Gatewood better. I feel he has more upside/potential, especially with his power. He's being compared to Tulo and AROD by experts. Rodon or him for me.
