Talking 2009, I really think we've got to improve the D. Of the tradable guys going into arbi, Uggla has the most value. I'd like to see us get a RP and a LF for him. Both can be rookies wth high ceilings but so far unproven. Jake will be gone, so I like Cantu at 1B if he's affordable. Coughlin at 2B should be a defensive upgrade. 3B, Dallas will be mediocre in the field but make up for it from the plate. LF, new guy for Uggla who can field and hit > .260. Hammer is as good as gone. CF, Maybin. Hope he's ready = Sept call-up will be interesting. RF, I'd like to see Cody. He's good on D, as well as offense. C - no idea. Get lucky with a re-tread, waiting for Skip in 2011. SP is intact - may lose Olsen if offers are decent. RP has some depth, if healthy and not over-used. Add an arm or two and bye-bye Gregg.

Just a heads up - This Saturday is the annual baseball equipment drive. There will be stations at most gates to drop off your used gloves, balls, bats, caps, batting helmets, etc.... Last year they went to the local Boys Club, and probably the same this year. So bring out your old stuff and make a youngster happy - this Saturday vs. the Phillies. GO FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!
